Artist Experiences & Feedback

The stories of those I've worked with reflect my commitment to fostering artistic expression.

Dr. Sharanpal Ruprai

Faculty Supervisor and

Graduate Research Supervisor

University of Winnipeg

“Shivanya has proven to be invaluable. Exemplifying a level of poise and confidence in the subject matter, she revealed herself to be a generous and generative speaker even in that context. I was pleased to support and recommend Shivanya Ra for The National Gallery of Canada’s General Idea Fellowship.”

Kyle McPhail, PhD (they/them)

Colville Fellow

Mount Allison University

"I have learnt a great deal from her and she has challenged me to broaden my research and include more disability studies in the course material. I highly recommend Shivanya and think that many would benefit from her commitments to community, diversity, accessibility and critical thinking."

Shani Kipang (she/her)

Manager of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Accessibility

Ontario Arts Council

“It was mostly just me gushing about how amazing the workshop was and how you all need to take it on the road. Thank you both again so much for your work on this!”
